Nestled in a verdant mountain valley, the Four Seasons Jackson Hole is a five-star luxury retreat at the base of Teton Village. Surrounded by awe-inspiring landscapes, celebrated ski runs, and an array of wildlife in nearby Grand Teton National Park, the alpine resort has become a favorite basecamp for a host of outdoor adventures. Originally opened in 2003, the resort is now set to usher in the next generation of its storied appeal with a collection of revamped guest areas.

The refreshed spaces include a new speakeasy lounge, a grab and go store and coffee bar, and a members’ locker room and club lounge. Throughout all three spaces, the design maximizes existing elements whenever possible, while introducing new features that draw on the larger culture and history of Jackson. Together, the updated spaces connect visitors and guests to an authentic expression of the Mountain West, inviting users on a journey through Jackson’s storied past while maintaining an air of modern luxury.

The new speakeasy blends the luxury and prestige of the Four Seasons with the rich heritage of Jackson Hole. Concealed behind a custom door adorned in a mural by a local artist, the speakeasy draws inspiration from the rugged yet sophisticated elements of the Mountain West. Formerly an underused kids’ club, the design transforms the 500-square-foot space into an intimate enclave evoking the clandestine charm of a speakeasy with a sumptuous color palette of deep reds and mauves. The design introduces layers of history and texture, utilizing existing wood paneling and introducing rich materials such as wainscoting and a bespoke toile wallcovering with western frontier motifs.

Adjacent to the lobby, the grab and go area pays homage to the pioneering spirit of early travelers to the Mountain West, offering a commissary refreshment space where guests can refuel for quick bites and beverages before embarking on their own outdoor adventures. Repurposing a coat closet and back-of-house kitchen, the space is transformed into a lively and welcoming hub. Bright red accents reminiscent of frontier days infuse the space with energy, while sepia-toned wallpaper adorned with vintage newspapers adds a nostalgic touch.

Finally, the refreshed members’ locker room and club lounge introduces clean lines and modern finishes to these hardworking spaces, evoking the luxury of a modern ski lodge. A palette inspired by forest greenery defines the space, with wood and metal accents completing the woodland ambiance.

With their blend of historic charm and modern convenience, together the new spaces embody the spirit of exploration that has long defined Jackson Hole, welcoming Four Seasons guests to partake in a taste of the Mountain West’s rich heritage.
