Kevin’s approach to design is rooted in a deep appreciation for the natural landscape and an understanding of the built environment as an honest, essential expression of its place. Drawn to construction and the way complex assemblies are put together, Kevin’s process supports best-practice techniques, and the relationship to land, history, and vernacular forms. His openness to dialogue and collaboration led to his emergence not only as a partner and lead designer at CLB, but also as Finance Director and CFO.
Over 23 years at the firm, Kevin has managed a variety of custom residential, large-scale commercial and award-winning public projects. His attention to detail in both the design and business sides of the operation have made him an invaluable resource within CLB. Providing mentorship for the principles of building science, he works to ensure high technical standards for all project types. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Kevin spearheads CLB’s integration of green building techniques and furthers the firm’s commitment to environmental integrity.
Kevin graduated from the School of Architecture at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island in 1990, quickly leaving to “get his hands dirty” in the field. He was drawn to the West by his family’s history, moving to Wyoming and joining CLB in 1999 and becoming a partner of the firm in 2006. He is actively involved in his community as a board member of Teton Adaptive Sports, an organization that strives for inclusive outdoor recreation for people with disabilities living in and visiting the Teton area. He has also volunteered with other various local Boards and Organizations such as Special Olympics Wyoming, Teton County Pathways Task Force and Jackson Hole Food Rescue. In his free time Kevin enjoys summers filled with cycling in various locales across the US and Europe and winters pursuing the backcountry around Jackson, Bozeman, and Canada.
