Plume is a temporary community space that takes the abstracted form of steam rising from a geyser, undulating to the rhythm of Earth’s core and the prevailing weather of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Translucent ripstop fabric drapes illuminated wood walls, a nod to the juxtaposition of recreational pursuits and the built environment of our unique community.

Unlike the unhospitable geysers that shape Yellowstone’s landscape, this installation invites the public inside to reveal a small lending library where visitors are encouraged to browse and exchange literature from the collection within.
