Frequently Asked Questions
Every project begins with a conversation—about place, purpose, and how people will live or work within a space. From that dialogue, we develop a clear vision that guides design decisions from concept through construction.
We are a full-service architecture and interior design practice working across scales and typologies, from private residences and resorts to cultural, workplace, and civic environments. Our holistic approach extends to custom-designed furniture, lighting, and objects, as well as a growing portfolio of public art installations that connect people, community, and place.
To us, full-service design means shaping complete environments and bringing every aspect of a project under one roof. Whether we’re masterplanning a large development or designing custom furniture for a single room, our holistic approach aligns design, craft, and construction from the start, helping streamline communication, save time, and achieve a cohesive result.
Our work is inspired by place—by the landscapes, communities, and clients who shape each project. We get excited by projects that begin with a deep connection to place and a shared curiosity about design. Our most rewarding collaborations are with clients who value design integrity, a rigorous design process, and the creative journey of making something lasting together.
We see interior environments as extensions of the architecture itself. Our interiors practice is integrated within the architectural process, meaning we shape interior architecture, finishes, and furnishings as part of a unified vision. The result is an interior that feels intentional, layered, and interconnected with the architecture.
Collaboration is at the core of our process. We often partner with trusted peers, including like-minded interior designers, landscape architects, and builders, who share our design standards and attention to detail. When we lead projects, we enjoy bringing together a team of vetted professionals so we can work hand in hand through the entire process to achieve design excellence.
Yes, when it’s the right fit. We take on renovations and additions that offer strong design potential and clients who are eager to engage in a creative process with us. The best results come from partnerships grounded in shared design values and a mutual excitement about creating something special together.
Yes. We work across the U.S. and internationally. Our ethos of “inspired by place” translates broadly, and we are inspired by all landscapes, from urban cities to rural mountains, and everything in between.

Living and working in the Rockies means being shaped by the landscape. Our teams in Bozeman and Jackson embrace four seasons, from deep winters to luminous summers. Life here offers balance: ski days, walks to local events, and easy access to National Parks. These are remote yet rewarding places for those who find inspiration in nature and community.
At CLB Architects, we believe in nurturing the next generation of design leaders. Our Emerging Professionals Program is an immersive experience for aspiring architects, offering hands-on exposure to the real-world practice of architecture.
Participants work directly on active projects—collaborating with clients, contributing to design solutions, and engaging in the full spectrum of architectural practice. Each emerging professional is paired with our program mentor, ensuring personalized guidance, technical training, and one-on-one professional development.
CLB is not sponsoring work-related visas for new employees at this time.
Let’s start a conversation. Our team works across scales and settings to shape architecture and interiors that endure.
