Bio

Originality, simplicity and practicality are among the top design aspirations for Leo, an East Coast expat. The pivotal moment in his design education was in the design and construction of the Masonic Amphitheater in Clifton Forge, VA as a key member of the international design/buildLAB. The public service project garnered widespread recognition while providing participants with an unparalleled opportunity to see a full-scale project through from the first sketch to the Grand Opening. Since this first foray into the world of public design, he has continued to be seek out community based public art and architecture projects both in and out of the office. He has found that there is an unparalleled satisfaction to observing the masses experience a space that you have shed proverbial blood, sweat and tears on for their benefit: an accomplishment most authentically experienced through public architecture. He has been a key member on many projects developing early design schematics and visualization– a means of portraying the intended personal experience of space and the intangible qualities of a building’s atmosphere. Leo brings a strong will to improving and pushing the boundaries of design, striving to create architecture that lifts the heart and soul of all who inhabit it.
