Bio

Quality architecture engages us in a deeper dialogue with the places we cherish and provides a richer framework in which we spend our lives. A thoughtfully designed building takes its place in the landscape and defers to its context. It also reflects an understanding that the lived experience of its occupants, not the vision of its creators, will ultimately lend a space meaning. These shared ideals drew Greg to the work done by CLB Architects.

A native Texan, Greg comes to Jackson by way of Colorado. Having grown up in one of the nation’s largest metro areas, and more recently residing in of one of Colorado’s quieter corners, Greg has found a deep appreciation for the treasure of the American West. In his years in Colorado, Greg received a Master of Architecture from CU Denver. A pivotal experience in his education was his time with the Colorado Building Workshop, helping to design and build a series of backcountry privies on the Longs Peak Trail for the National Park Service. In between years of school and after graduating Greg lived in Crested Butte, CO, where he worked as a carpenter. This experience instilled a respect for the trades and practical design sensibilities that he tries to carry throughout his work.

Beyond the office, Greg enjoys a variety of hobbies from music and books to video games and cooking. What he likes most is to share a day outside with friends, family and dog, anywhere old or new.
